Monday Musings: Heroic Princesses, Body Image, and the Size of Ariel's Butt

Happy Monday!

I've been busy over the weekend learning how to use video-editing software, which I hope will lead to much better quality YouTube videos in the not-too-distant future. But in the meantime, we'll have to settle for ideas over looks.

Which, interestingly, dovetails nicely with my latest vlog:

See you tomorrow, when I'll post my reading of The Elephant's Child in two parts, and announce the book I'll be reading in the lead-up to Halloween. I can't wait!

  1. As much as I love Disney, I've often wondered where the princesses keep their internal organs. There just doesn't seem to be enough room in those unnaturally tiny waists! That's one of (many) things I love about The Big Bang Theory - the female stars represent a range of physical types.

  2. Great topic, Ishta. I'm going straight off to look at Arial's butt (just kidding). I have seen in improvement in barbies though. They have a very cool surfing one that is strong in values and helps with decision making. All the characters are slim and gorgeous but at least the story was the focus.
