Since I did my last Friday Favorites on Premiere Season, what better than to do a post for a Blog Hop, hosted by Alex Cavanaugh, on my Top Ten TV Shows of All Time Ever? Apropos, yes?
SO, here we go: my Top Ten favorite TV shows, in no particular order:
1) MASH: Hawkeye. Hot Lips. Radar. Need I say more?
2) The Cosby Show: As a child, I wanted to have parents like like that; as an adult, I want to be a parent like that.
3) The Big Bang Theory: Nerdy, clever, hilarious. Watch it.
4) Star Trek: Essential late-night viewing throughout my teenaged years.
5) Grey's Anatomy: Compelling drama + talented actors + medical jargon + Chandra Wilson as a bossy boss = WIN. (For the actors in the crowd: THEIR EYELINES ARE AMAZING, THE DIRECTORS EVEN MORE SO.)
6) Arrested Development: Jason Bateman and Michael Cera struck gold with this comedy that takes "dysfunctional family" to a whole new level.
7) Glee: It's funny and smart. And there's singing and dancing!
8) Get Smart: The ultimate spy spoof.
9) Desperate Housewives, Season One: Poked fun at the evening soap while simultaneously peeling back the layers that veil the true desperation of a Stay-At-Home Mom in a way that was brilliant, clever, and often poignant.
10) Planet Earth: Because I want to know EVERYTHING.
How about you? What are your favorite TV shows?
Don't forget to check out all the other entries this morning; maybe you'll find a new show to love.
I haven't yet seen Glee though am always on Twitter reading comments about it. I really must see what it's all about.

I can not believe I left Get Smart off my list. What was I thinking? I think I will go sit under the cone of silence and contemplate my error until my shoe phone rings telling me that 99 needs me.
ReplyDeleteGood choices! I tried watching Glee last Tuesday, but couldn't really get into it. The dancing and singing was great, but the cliches annoyed me.
ReplyDeleteWe share some favorites! Star Trek is a big favorite today. Thanks for participating and plugging the blogfest!
ReplyDeleteArrested Development might have been the funniest show on TV ever.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great list. I have to admit I'm still a fan of Desperate Housewives.
ReplyDeleteHi. Stopping by from the bloghop. I almost added Mash and Cosby to mine. I also liked Desperate Housewives.
ReplyDeleteNice list. Some cool shows on there. Planet Earth is pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteI just an episode of The Cosby Show a few days ago, and it reminded me of how much I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI've only seen the first two on your list. I don't have time for much TV.
ReplyDeleteAh, The Cosby Show! That one slipped my mind. Such a GREAT show! Love your list!
ReplyDeletesuch great choices, so many to choose from.
ReplyDelete:)........
iZombie
I knew Mash, The Cosb y Show,,
ReplyDeleteI loved your selection though I only knew a few,
Yvonne.
I've never watched Grey's Anatomy but I think I might have to. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI loved The Cosby Show. Love it when I happen to catch a rerun.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoyed "Get Smart" and the original "Star Trek". I have enjoyed "Glee" for the most part so far.

ReplyDeleteBig Bang Theory and Glee, who doesn't love them!!! Great choice with TV choices!
ReplyDeleteWow - so many great comments! I'm loving the TV love. Now off I go to spread the love on your blogs! Thanks for spreading it on mine!
ReplyDeleteI love many of the shows you've listed! ST, BBG, MASH,Cosby, Get Smart! Awesome choices :)
ReplyDeleteFun choices!
ReplyDeleteI have to rent the first season of Glee and catch up. I know I'd love it! I love music and dancing and everyone loves it!
I've never watched Glee. I keep meaning too. I'd probably love it since I loved Fame when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about Get Smart. I loved that show...
ReplyDeleteGet Smart! Yes! I forgot that one. One of the L.A. stations picked that up in syndication last year and those guys are still funny.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, that rebel, Olivia
Okay, obviously I need to see The Big Bang Theory. It's on just about everyone's list! I also love MASH, The Cosby Show and Get Smart.
ReplyDeleteOh, Planet Earth! That was another one cut off way too soon (for me, anyway). And now I think Star Trek is neck and neck with Firefly for most listed, if not quite beating it yet.
ReplyDeleteI never heard of Get Smart until the movie came out, but after seeing the boxed set advertised, I thought I'd love the show.
If I had thought of MASH it would have gone on my list. I'm surprised not more people picked Glee though. Oh, and I loved Get Smart.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! We have several in common.
ReplyDeleteI think MASH and Get Smart both make my 2nd tier list... in fact had I been more awake, Get Smart probably would have made the first tier--I LOVED that show.
ReplyDeleteStar Trek - woo-hoo! And while I don't get to see the series Planet Earth, my husband bought the boxed set for me for Christmas a couple years ago. Fascinating stuff!
ReplyDeleteit's nice to see HOUSEWIVES and GREY'S ANATOMY in your list :) And who can miss STAR TREK!
ReplyDeleteGrey's anatomy makes me happy and so does arrested development.
ReplyDeleteAnd Big Bang Theory is just one of the best shows on right now im so glad it starts again soon!
Great list, I think there are a lot of Star Trek and Glee fans in this group~ I'll be watching the Season Premiere tonight~
